SOCIEDADES LABORALES (SPANISH EMPLOYEE OWNED COMPANIES)

          Years
ago, Spain set up a new original corporate model - the Sociedades
Laborales (SAL) - employee owned companies. This model allowed Spain
to create more than 17.000 new companies, with 105.000 jobs within the
last ten years, in all regions, all sectors in industry and services.
A major success ! At the origin, they were mainly rescue plans for enterprises
in difficulties. Could it be possible to apply this model in other countries?
There is a growing interest in Belgium.
